Another useful natural product for hair growth is garlic, so if you don’t mind smell, you should definitely consider massage with garlic and oil mixture. These are only some of the great home remedies that don’t cost anything close to professional hair care treatments, but can potentially revive and strengthen your hair.

Packing for holiday always seems like a fun thing to do in advance (I can’t be the only one who drags the suitcase out of the loft a few weeks before to get in the holiday spirit?) but it can be frustrating activity for a beauty junkie. It’s impossible to cram as many lotions and potions into my suitcase as I need and stay under the weight allowance – so I am forced to ditch some in favour of others (painful when my beauty cupboard is brimming with fabulous holiday products).

Over the years, however, I have worked out that some things are unnecessary, as other holiday products can easily multi-task. So this week, I thought I’d share my top list of what to pack and what to leave at home.

Leave at home – Shaving Foam

Smooth legs are a necessity on holiday – and if your method of hair removal is a razor, it can be tempting to stash that heavy tin of shaving foam in your suitcase too. But believe me; your hair conditioner will make a fabulous replacement on holiday. Smooth a 10-pence sized amount over each leg before shaving and the blade will glide effortlessly over skin.

Leave at home – Eye Makeup Remover

Michael Graves Designs New Line of Beauty Tools for Slice

Parabens have been used in cosmentics and personal care products since the 1920s as a preservative in order to increase product shelf life. The Ruby Makeup Academy Donates Scholarship to Women Empowered

As these young girls become young women, their answers change to doctor, journalist, lawyer, fashion designer or maybe even perhaps, makeup artist. In the spirit of empowering young women, Ruby Polanco of the Ruby Makeup Academy is donating a Makeup Artistry Course valued at $2,600.00 to a raffle sponsored by the collaborating bodies of Women Empowered and Central Juvenile Hall entitled Dress for Success. This event will be held at Central Juvenile Hall, 1605 Eastlake Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90033 on August 6, 2011.

The purpose of Dress for Success is to motivate young woman by providing workshops that will prepare them for professional work environments. The Seven Sins of Summer

I love summer; the season of holidays, garden parties, and weekend picnics!  But it does make the beauty routine a little trickier and more time-consuming. Legs need to be smooth, makeup needs to be waterproof, hair needs to be de-frizzed –the list goes on as long as my summer shopping list…

With so much skin on display, it’s also very easy to make mistakes (and even easier for others to spot them!) So this week, I’ve rounded up the seven beauty sins of summer and shown you how best to avoid them with a few of my favourite products.

1. SUNBURN
This sin is no laughing matter, causing premature ageing and potentially even skin cancer. Avoid it by stashing a bottle of sun cream in your handbag for those impromptu al fresco moments at home or abroad.

2. PANDA EYES
Ever emerged from the sea and wondered why everyone is staring? I have – and it’s down to non-waterproof mascara. So if you are heading away on holiday to the beach, make sure you invest in a tube of waterproof mascara before you board that flight.

3. FRIZZY HAIR

Vintage Inspired Wedding Make-Up with Sarah Brock

Here, Sarah creates a vintage makeup look using Daniel’s products for Wedding TV – Bridal Boudoir. Recreate the look with these gorgeous products..

Base

1. Apply the Daniel Sandler Re-texturising Primer all over the face. This works to fill in fine lines and provide the perfect canvas for make-up application.

2. Using the Daniel Sandler Base Brush, apply the Daniel Sandler Waterbase Foundation. This innovative product also includes a matching concealer in the lid to cover imperfections.

3. Dust the Daniel Sandler Invisible Veil Loose Powder all over the face with the Daniel Sandler Contour-Powder Brush.

4. Take that same brush and contour the cheeks with the Daniel Sandler Mineral Matte Blush in Natural Beauty.

Eyes

1. Apply the Daniel Sandler Sheer Satin Shadow in Gilded Taupe from lash to brow with Daniel Sandler Eye shadow 1 Brush. Repeat the same application with the Daniel Sandler Polychromatic Eye Shadow in Rosy Tan. Contour with the Daniel Sandler Sheer Satin Shadow in shade Copper Bronze and using the Daniel Sandler Smudger Brush, apply first to the contour of the eye and along the lower lash line.

2. To achieve beautiful eyeliner, use the Daniel Sandler Eye Love It in Rock Chick – apply a tiny amount to the back of your hand and using the Daniel Sandler Liner Brush, swipe the brush into the product and pull your brow up so your eyelid is smooth. Apply to your top lash line – thinner at the inner corner and thicker towards the outer corner.

3. Use the Daniel Sandler Baby Jet Mascara after curling the lashes, to get a thick, glossy look to the lashes.

Lips

1. Take the Daniel Sandler Automatic  Long-Lasting Lip Liner in Heather and apply all over the lips.

2. Finish with an application of Daniel Sandler Luxury Lipstick in Loveable.
