Homemade Remedies For Thinning Hair

Homemade Remedies For Thinning HairThinning hair, excessive hair loss and all the stress that comes along eventually brought me to seeking some remedies to restore the beauty of my hair. It was more than stressful to see how my once curly, shiny and dense hair was gradually turning into a dry, brittle and sparse mess. With time, I came to understand that the culprit for my thinning hair was stress and the lack of a healthy eating plan, which would provide me with nutritious elements that my digestive and endocrine systems were much in need of.

Just like me, you’re concerned about your hair problems, but can’t afford time or money for it? Well, professional hair care can be an expensive and time-consuming process. But there are numerous other home remedies that will help you regrow your hair and restore its strength without a downpour on professional hair care treatments. You may be wondering if there is any proven way to regrow thinning hair naturally. The good news is YES. Nature has provided us with products that can do wonders for the beauty of our hair. Combining the use of natural products with a healthy eating plan and useful habits in everyday life, you will soon wow at the results.

Homemade Remedies For Thinning HairTo improve hair growth and density, it is important to constantly stimulate your scalp with natural massage oils or with the help of a proper comb, which should be wide-teeth and from wood or bone. Another thing is to give ample time for combing. I’ve always had curly hair and because I didn’t want to destroy my curls with a comb, I ended up combing my hair only before washing. As a result, my scalp never got any massage, which lead to poor blood circulation. Regular combing and scalp massage with natural oil will stimulate blood circulation and significantly improve your hair. Below are some natural oils and mixtures that prove to be useful in the prevention of thinning hair and hair loss.

You can massage olive, rosemary, jojoba and cocnut oils vigorously on your scalp, and particularly, on areas which are undergoing hair loss or thinning. For best results, leave the oil on your hair overnight. Otherwise, you can leave it for around two hours and thoroughly wash it off. Make this procedure a habit and do it at least twice a week.

Besides natural oils, other homemade remedies can be extremely helpful as well. Try mixing honey and cinnamon in a bowl and then add olive oil to it. You will come up with a thick mixture. Apply it gently to your scalp and massage it with the tips of your fingers. Rinse it off after an hour and a half. You can also combine honey with egg yolk, and even add some cognac to the mixture. These ingredients will activate blood circulation and make your scalp feel really warm. Another useful natural product for hair growth is garlic, so if you don’t mind smell, you should definitely consider massage with garlic and oil mixture. These are only some of the great home remedies that don’t cost anything close to professional hair care treatments, but can potentially revive and strengthen your hair.

How To Take Care Of Your Aging Skin?

How To Take Care Of Your Aging Skin? Are you worried about your aging skin? Does your increasing age trouble you? Do you want to look ten years younger? Did you care much for your aging skin when you were younger, when you were giggling round the globe without worrying for the sunburns and tanning? I guess you didn’t. I am sure you were more being worried about the pimple on your date than about the effect of that pimple on your skin.

Skin is one of the vital and sensitive organs that gets an everlasting reflection of whatever you do with it. But, besides this, aging is a natural process that occurs no matter you want it or not.

Some of the aging signs include dryness, sagging, thinning and wrinkles. As you start getting older, the nutrients that rejuvenate and refresh your skin start getting produced at a slower rate. Collagen and elastic are some of the vital proteins that are responsible for the elasticity and strong nature of the skin. It doesn’t matter how much you try to avoid these inevitable changes, they can’t be stopped. But you can definitely control them with the help of best anti aging treatment.

How To Take Care Of Your Aging Skin?Wrinkles generally depend upon the genes. You are likely to get wrinkles at the age your mother got them.

Best anti aging treatment – Taking care of the aging skin, doesn’t mean investing too much in the skin care products. You just need to buy a moisturizer, sunscreen and a perfect cleanser. You should apply your moisturizer daily; no matter you possess oily or dry skin, moisturizer will help in retaining the moisture of the skin. This is what my mom does, and you just have to see her, she looks very beautiful and young. So I believe this is the easiest and best anti aging treatment and care.

It’s not that difficult to manage to look ten years younger but it’s possible only if you take your time to take care of your skin every day.

Holiday Multi-Taskers

Klorane Stila Make Up Palette Haute in the Hamptons Clarins Sun L'Occitane Conditioner

By Louise Emma Clarke
Founding Editor of The-Beauty-Pages.com

Packing for holiday always seems like a fun thing to do in advance (I can’t be the only one who drags the suitcase out of the loft a few weeks before to get in the holiday spirit?) but it can be frustrating activity for a beauty junkie. It’s impossible to cram as many lotions and potions into my suitcase as I need and stay under the weight allowance – so I am forced to ditch some in favour of others (painful when my beauty cupboard is brimming with fabulous holiday products).

Over the years, however, I have worked out that some things are unnecessary, as other holiday products can easily multi-task. So this week, I thought I’d share my top list of what to pack and what to leave at home.

Leave at home – Shaving Foam

Use instead – Hair Conditioner

Pack - L’Occitane Repairing Conditioner for Dry Hair, £12.69.

Smooth legs are a necessity on holiday – and if your method of hair removal is a razor, it can be tempting to stash that heavy tin of shaving foam in your suitcase too. But believe me; your hair conditioner will make a fabulous replacement on holiday. Smooth a 10-pence sized amount over each leg before shaving and the blade will glide effortlessly over skin.

Leave at home – Eye Makeup Remover

Use instead – Cleansing Facial Wipes

Pack – Klorane Make Up Remover Wipes, £6.24

No need to pack heavy bottles of makeup remover and cleanser for your holiday, as one pack of wipes is enough to leave you fresh-faced for a whole fortnight (cleansing skin and eyes both morning and night). They are lightweight, so won’t weigh down your suitcase and are disposable, so will free up space for souvenirs on the return leg.

Leave at home – Day Moisturiser

Use instead – Facial Suntan lotion

Pack - Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream for Face UVB 50+, £13.60.

With sun protection creams offering ever-advanced anti-ageing and skincare benefits – such as 24-hour hydration, wrinkle smoothing, and firming properties – there is really no need to carry a separate day cream in your holiday wash bag. Apply it every morning and your skin will be protected from UVA and UVB rays, whilst leaving it plumped and glowing every evening.

Leave at home – Makeup Bag

Use instead – All-in-one Makeup Palette

Pack Stila Collectable Beach Palette 2 Haute in the Hamptons, £10.

your skin boasting a holiday glow, your base needs to be minimal – with shadows and blushers reserved for evenings only. So leave behind that heavy makeup bag and pack a lightweight palette that will cover every eventuality. If you want to pack a mascara and eyeliner, they won’t take up much space – but I recommend keeping things simple and saving those precious extra ounces for flip-flops and chick lit.

Murad Resurgence Rejuvenating Lift for Neck and Décolleté

MuradMurad Skincare has unveiled its latest anti-aging breakthrough for the best-selling line, Resurgence. Rejuvenating Lift for Neck and Décolleté is one of the only products of its kind currently on the market touting a numerical claim to increase skin firmness 42% in just one application.

Formulated with a unique Collagen Enhancing Compound comprised of an exotic Brazilian Botanical Blend (B3) of java plum, mango and banana pulp extracts, Rejuvenating Lift is designed to increase firmness, erase fine lines and make skin appear more plump and youthful. Through the power of Phytoestrogens, Rejuvenating Lift fights the signs of hormonal aging, improving elasticity, diminishing thinness and sagging while helping to reduce age spots.

As the first new product addition for the Resurgence line since 2002, Rejuvenating Lift is the perfect complement to the entire family of products built to combat the signs and symptoms of maturing skin.

“Women tend to neglect the neck and décolleté area when it comes to treating their skin with anti-aging products, so these areas become where one’s true age first reveals itself,” said Howard Murad, M.D., FAAD, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA and founder of Murad, Inc. “And as the neck and décolleté grow more fragile with age, improving elasticity and thickness while decreasing the appearance of lines is the key to turning back the clock on the quickly thinning skin found in these areas.”

This luxuriously rich serum, featuring natural botanical blends and Retinyl Palmitate, improves elasticity and smoothness in addition to renewing the texture of aging skin. To help minimize the appearance of age spots, Bearberry and Licorice Root Extracts lighten discoloration and even skin tone for a brighter, improved appearance of the chest, neck and jaw line.

“Rejuvenating Lift is specifically formulated for hormonally aging skin to work over the short and long term to helping fortify the skin to be healthier, more resilient and more attractive,” said Jeff Murad, Vice President of Product Development.

Resurgence Rejuvenating Lift for Neck and Décolleté ($55.00 for 1.7 FL. OZ.) is exclusive to Murad.com until the end of June 2011. Starting August 2011, Sephora, Sephora inside JCPenney, Ulta and leading spa and salon locations will begin offering the retail product.

Proactiv Solution Acne & Dark Spot Repair Kit

ProactivTo help fight one of the most troublesome issues associated with acne – stubborn dark spots/blotches that acne can leave behind after breakouts have healed – Proactiv introduces new Acne & Dark Spot Repair. The Acne & Dark Spot Repair system is designed to help clear your skin and gradually fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or dark spots on the skin that can sometimes take months to fade.

After acne clears, dark spots are sometimes left behind, ranging in color from pink to brown depending on skin tone. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, many people mistakenly believe these spots are acne scars. Unlike acne scars, the spots will eventually fade; however, there are ways to make them fade more quickly with skin lightening treatments and regular use of oil-free sunscreen.

The Proactiv Acne & Dark Spot Repair system contains:

The iconic Proactiv 3-Step System – America’s number one acne system – which includes:Renewing CleanserRevitalizing TonerRepairing TreatmentDark Spot Corrector formulated with 2% hydroquinone designed to fade skin discoloration.Daily Protection Plus Sunscreen SPF 30 specifically designed for acne prone skin.

This combination is designed to treat acne effectively, prevent future breakouts and help gradually fade dark spots; while daily sun protection prevents spots from darkening and protects skin while it heals.

“Unfortunately, scarring and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (aka dark spots) are a real possibility when acne is left untreated,” said Dr. Katie Rodan, co-developer of Proactiv and board-certified dermatologist. “Depending upon the severity of inflammation, even a short term case of acne can cause scarring and discoloration on the skin.  Early and effective treatment can help prevent acne scarring by controlling breakouts and the stubborn dark spots left behind,” said Rodan.

The Proactiv Acne & Dark Spot Repair system retails for $29.95 plus shipping and handling. For more information, visit http://www.proactiv.com/repair.
