This isn?t what you would call a traditional ?makeup? book because the information stems from the fact that your ancestors relied on customary herbs and other tropical ingredients to enrich their beauty. The emphasis is on
natural beauty and strengthening your body and spirit.
There are some great tips on how to make
natural cleansers, but unless you know where to look, some of the ingredients can be difficult to find. I suggest visiting some of the Indian-owned markets in your area if you can?t find a specific product. Monisha does a thorough job of discussing how the weather can affect the condition of your skin, and this is great information that is often ignored by many. If you?re a huge fan of
Ayurvedic techniques and natural skin care, this book will serve as a wonderful asset!

makeup techniques. She incorporates tips and tricks for creating looks that involve colorful eyeshadows so you can still maintain a polished look.
She divulges a
wealth of information on makeup tools and which colors are best suited for your skin tone. This book even covers past decades and how to apply the prominent looks of that period to the Asian face. I must say that it is very beautifully illustrated, but it doesn?t include
color descriptions for the foundation colors used on the models. However, there are descriptions for other makeup products such as lipstick, eyeshadows, and blush.
If you tend to stick with very simple makeup applications, this book will surprise you with
significant results. The instructions are very down-to-earth and easy to use. You will find great examples for different facial features, and Taylor provides information on how to emphasize those features. You will find this to be one of the most
